Color Catch

Colors are oftentimes used in different ways. Just like in interpreting things and having stuffs that would generate meaning and understanding among people. So, in designs colors are given importance for it may create an impression and would communicate things that are not meant really. There could be misunderstanding if it would not be taken essentially.

Colors should be one of your first concerns when it comes to start a design. If you do not pay attention with the colors that you will use for your site if just end up to be boring, chaotic or just so dull, plain and lifeless site. Colors should be chosen after careful considerations. If not, waste of money, effort and whole thing will be done.

At this time web browsers can only see 216common colors although there are 256 color pallets. When designing key elements in your website just stay within your 216-color pallet for much appreciated outcome and reduced damage for you and your site.

If you will go beyond 216 color pallet, you start to us colors that do not exist within the browser. Remember that the browser has to mix the colors that do not exist in order for the browser to display color and it needs to take tiny dots from the colors native to that browser to come up with the appropriate color


combinations.

Take note that some displays will distort the tiny dots to the point where the image is so speckled that it does not appear as a solid and firm color with distinct and appropriate combinations. These just make the texts very hard to read over the dithered color.

Always use a browser safe color when using solid color as a design element. Some of the safe colors should be used with caution and ease. It is said that most of the eye operations are muscular and just like other muscles it tires out and even worn out.

In your eyes, cones respond to specific wavelengths of light. Your eye is filled with color decoding cones. Sometimes the opposite cones in your eye start to kick in. Pure yellow strains your eyes more than any other color. Yellow attracts full attention of the viewers.

Yellow and red colors sparingly are advisable to be used in your designs. Use them in a field that you really want to focus their attention with. Bright colors though are not that advantageous for websites since it causes fatigue to the eyes of its viewers. Colors can draw or irritate a viewer, so choose colors wisely and appropriately.
